In the depths of an endless void, where darkness knows no bounds, exists an area unlike any other. Here floating islands are suspended in place, coming from nothing and leaving in equally mysteriously ways. These islands over time became referred to as realms and shaped the dynamics of the void.
With these realms, came rulers. As these rulers took their first steps on the virgin soil, a mysterious castle would emerges every time, acknowledging them as the rightful ruler of that realm. Each ruler would quickly catch glimpses of rulers from other realms magicly watching, calculating, and deciding if they're a friend of foe. Some will hands extended in friendship, others with weapons drawn, ready for battle.
The question that always echoes through the void is not if they will build their empire, but what kind of empire will be build. Some realms prefer to stay hidden, avoiding all conflict while expanding in the shadows. Others almost seem to prefer other realms more than their own, as they visit, attack and destroy any realm they see in sight.
Compared to the void, these realms are still young. Hierarchy is fluid and only starting to form. As rulers build and fight to define their place on the ladder, the creatures of the void watch in the background...
